25 June 2026, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) & Orion Maritime Academy (HQ) – Orion Maritime Academy continues to strengthen its maritime professional development portfolio through the delivery of the Chief Mate 3000 GT or More Unlimited Voyages programme, designed to enhance the competency, technical knowledge and operational capabilities of maritime professionals.

The programme provides comprehensive learning in key areas including advanced navigation, ship management, cargo operations, safety management and other essential competencies required for effective Chief Mate responsibilities onboard large commercial vessels.

Since its introduction, the programme has successfully conducted three (3) intakes, with Batch 3 currently ongoing. For the current intake, the programme is being conducted through two training arrangements, comprising physical classroom sessions at Orion Maritime Academy and training sessions at Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP).

With continued participation and upcoming enrolments for future intakes, Orion Maritime Academy remains dedicated to developing competent maritime professionals and delivering quality training programmes that contribute towards safer and more efficient marine operations.
